This is the Hoover Dam!!! The water is sucked in by the turbines, which are the column things and the water is used to generate energy!!!!! The water is very greenish blue!!! It was really neat cause a White-faced Ibis kept flying back and forth over the dam carried sticks to make its nest!!!!
Half of the dam is on the Nevada side and the other half is in Arizona so they are in two different time zones! Just by walking across you can either gain an hour or lose an hour!!!
In order to divert the river during the construction of the dam, they built this really big tunnel that goes through the mountain!!! It is Huge!!!

The freeway goes right across the canyon on that bridge!!!
It was a really really long way down!!! We were told that several workers died while construction was taking place and they had to just keep pouring cement. Yes, that means they were buried in the foundation of the dam!!! That's Crazy!!!!!
It was amazing!! A good time was had by all!!
