New York Birds and Butterflies!!!!

So at the Strong Museum of Play, they have a butterfly room that you can see over 800 butterflies and moths and some tropical birds and turtles!!!

Addi and Macie were really excited to be able to identify the butterflies!!! This was the first time they got to go in the butterfly room too so it was neat to experience it together!!!!

These are a type of quail that can be found in South America!! They are cute little things that run around, you have to watch where you step or you might just get one!!!!

This is a brazilian hummingbird!!! They are very beautiful with their rich blue color, contrasted with black, piercing red eyes, and a white mohawk, crown!

Here are a couple of the butterflies and moths that can be found in the butterfly room!!! Look how they attract and feed the butterflies!!!!

They have so many beautiful butterflies!!! It was a really neat experience!!!!

This is where they keep all of the cacoons for the new butterflies and moths! What ya think, Jack?!?!?!

Here are some more of the species of butterflies that they have in the butterfly room!

Aren't they very pretty!!!!!

I really like this one!!! I think it is my favorite!!!!

The Northern Cardinal is a beautiful red bird that makes some of the coolest sounds!!! We saw these birds at the Clue Castle!!!! The Northern Cardinal can be found in Eastern and Southern United States but cannot be found in Utah!!! It was neat to be able to see one!!!!

This is a Common Grackel! It is located through out the Eastern United States but is another one that cannot be found in Utah! They are a member of the black birds family! Normally they look black but under the light they are beautifully multicolored!!!
