This past General Conference Weekend we spent the day with Casey, Tori, and the Kids at the Ranch and out on the San Rafael Swell!!! We dyed Easter Eggs and rolled them down the hill!!!
We had a little egg hunt for the kids because we will not be spending Easter with them!!! They had a really good time finding the eggs!!! Halie even found some eggs!!!
There is nothing greater than buying prefilled eggs!!! So much easier!!!
Taylie did a really good job finding her eggs!!! She even found the Golden One!!!
At the Museum in Castle Dale you can see the Indian Pot that Casey found one day working!!! They even named it The Mickelsen Pot!!! Which is so Cool!!! You can see a lot of Indian artifacts in the museum along with animals found in the area!!!
"Aaaaaaaaaaaa Kyan, Look Out!!!! The Dino is going to get you!!!!" There is also a Dino part of the museum where you can see some skeletons and other artifacts!!!
We stopped and had lunch at a little picnic area right along the edge at a part of the Swell called the Wedge!!! It gives you a pretty view of the whole thing!!
It has a pretty big drop that would really hurt if one were to fall down it!!! Watch Out Mom!!!
The swell is really pretty!!! Halie especially liked to play in the dirt and find rocks!!!
There is even a neat Indian Painting down in the swell that you can drive to and see! This is special because they have pictures of bighorn, deer, and other animals that tells us they were here historically!!!!
And the best part of the whole day was when we got to see some desert bighorn sheep!!!! :) They are really hard to find cause they blend in with the rocks so well but we were lucky enough to find about 9 head!!!
There is even a Dino footprint that you can walk up to and see!!! It was really neat!!!
If you have never been out on the San Rafael Swell I highly recommend to take to time to see it!! It is worth the trip!!!!
